Onecard Terms and Conditions
The purpose of Onecard ("Onecard") is to offer benefits to our regular customers that are not available to other shoppers.
In applying for a Onecard, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you already own a Onecard (or Foodtown Card) your continued use is agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
General
- Membership is free.
- Your Onecard is issued by and remains the property of Progressive Enterprises Limited ("Progressive"). Progressive reserves the right, at any time without notice, to:
(a) terminate the scheme;
(b) decline to issue Onecards; and
(c) on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Onecards, or Onecard points, and/or alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Onecard programme.
- Reasonable grounds include:
(a) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or
(b) any use or attempted use of a Onecard, or Onecard points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions; or
(c) any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a customer in connection with the scheme.
- All members of the Onecard programme must be residents of New Zealand.
- Your Onecard is not transferable, and can only be used by the person whose name is on the card (with the exception of a Corporate Cheque ID card).
- Members may be removed from the scheme at any time at the discretion of Progressive.
- Onecard is valid for use at all Countdown, Woolworths and Foodtown supermarkets. Participating stores may change from time to time, and the benefits of the programme may change according to store brand or location. Onecard is not valid for use at Woolworths Quickstop or Micro stores.
- Progressive can introduce additional Points Issuing Partners into the Onecard programme at any time.
- For special promotions other terms and conditions may apply.
Onecard special product discounts
- You must present your Onecard at the supermarket checkout to receive Onecard special discounts.
- Onecard specials are not currently available at Foodtown and Woolworths Online Shopping.
- The number of Onecard specials will vary based on the product range and availability in each store.
Onecard Rewards - earning points
- You must swipe your own Onecard to earn Rewards points (transactions using a store Onecard will not give points to an individual).
- You must spend a minimum of $10.00 in a single transaction to qualify for Rewards points. You will then receive 1 Rewards point for every whole $10 spent in that transaction. This earning rate can be altered at the discretion of Progressive. Rewards points may also be earned through Bonus point promotions. See specific promotions for Terms and Conditions.
- You can link your Onecard with any other member of your household. Your points will then be added together. To link your cards call us on 0800 40 40 40 with your Onecard numbers.
- You must ask permission from the other cardholder prior to requesting cards to be linked. When your cards are linked, you nominate one person as the main cardholder. All points collected at Foodtown, Woolworths or Countdown will be credited to this cardholder's account, and they will receive any Onecard Rewards. If your cards are unlinked in future, the points will remain with the card that collected them.
- Points, and any rights they confer, cannot be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- Points may be deducted from your points balance where a transaction is cancelled or a refund occurs.
- Charge account holders can take advantage of Onecard specials but cannot earn Onecard Rewards points or Onecard Bonus Points.
Onecard Rewards - receiving Rewards
- The current redemption rate is $15 for every 200 points at the Rewards cut-off date (being the first Sunday of every February, May, August and November). Progressive reserves the right to alter the redemption rate or Rewards cut-off dates at any time.
- Any points remaining after conversion into Rewards cash vouchers will be carried forward to the next Rewards date. Rewards points expire after 6 months if they are not converted into a Rewards cash voucher. Expired Points are removed from your account four times a year immediately after each Rewards mailing.
- Points will not be converted into Rewards cash vouchers if you owe us money.
- It is your responsibility to keep your address updated. We won't convert your points into Rewards cash vouchers if we know we don't have your current address (i.e. if previous mail has been returned).
- Once points have been converted into Rewards cash vouchers and mailed, they cannot be reissued.
Rewards cash vouchers
- Rewards cash vouchers are personal and non-transferable.
- They can be used only once to purchase goods and services to the value of the amount shown on the face of the voucher when used in conjunction with your Onecard or Foodtown card.
- The voucher can be used at any Countdown, Woolworths or Foodtown supermarket, or online at www.foodtown.co.nz or www.woolworths.co.nz. Instructions regarding Online redemptions are provided with Cash Vouchers within the Onecard Rewards communication pack.
- Rewards cash vouchers are not redeemable at Woolworths Quickstop or Micro stores.
- The voucher is not exchangeable for cash, gift vouchers or Christmas Club vouchers.
- No change will be given on your Rewards vouchers.
- Please ensure you redeem your voucher before the expiry date printed on the voucher as it will not be reissued once expired.
- Any tampering or defacing of these vouchers will render them invalid.
Progressive is not liable for
- Any delay in replacing a Onecard.
- Any loss, theft or damage to any Rewards cash voucher/s in the course of post or delivery.
- Any stolen, mislaid, lost, destroyed or damaged Rewards cash voucher - they cannot be reissued or replaced.
- The suspension and/or termination of the Onecard programme.
Cheque ID Onecard
- You must have a Cheque ID Onecard or Countdown Cheque ID Card if you wish to pay by cheque in Countdown, Woolworths and Foodtown.
- To receive a Cheque ID Onecard you must present a completed application form, your cheque book and one of the following forms of personal identification at a Foodtown Woolworths or Countdown store: Photo Driver's Licence; HANZ card; Passport or Birth Certificate.
- You must show your Cheque ID Onecard every time you wish to pay by cheque.
- Only the named cardholder can use the Cheque ID Onecard when presenting cheques.
- Cheque drawn subject to conditions displayed in store. Should the cheque be dishonoured the customer is liable for late payment fees, administration costs, interest at 2.5% and debt collection agency costs.
Business Cheque ID Onecard
- By signing a Business Cheque ID Onecard, you acknowledge that you take responsibility for its use (unless the card has been reported stolen to our Customer Service prior to being presented).
- Anyone can present a cheque using a Business Cheque ID Onecard, provided that the name on the cheque matches the name on the front of the Onecard.
- Cheque drawn subject to conditions displayed in store. Should the cheque be dishonoured the customer is liable for late payment fees, administration costs, interest at 2.5% and debt collection agency costs.
Terms subject to change
Please check these terms and conditions periodically, as they may be subject to change. Continuing to use your Onecard (or Foodtown Card) after any changes to the terms and conditions indicates your acceptance of those changes.
Onecard, Cheque ID Onecard, Business Cheque ID Onecard and your Privacy
- Progressive collects and holds personal information in accordance with its obligations under the Privacy Act 1993. Your personal information is collected so that we can provide you with the benefits of having a Onecard, Cheque ID Onecard or Business Cheque ID Onecard. Progressive may use your details from the application form, along with details on how you use your Onecard and what you buy in our stores, to:
a. Send you any Onecard Rewards cash vouchers you may be entitled to;
b. Understand customers' shopping habits to improve service;
c. If you consent we will contact you with special offers, discounts and information about products and services (by mail, email or mobile phone) related to your supermarket shopping, that may be of interest to you and your family;
d. If you consent we may also contact you for research (by email or by telephone) related to your supermarket shopping and other marketing and promotional purposes.
- This information will be shared with companies working on our behalf (such as mailing companies who send out Rewards vouchers), but, except as required by law, information identifying an individual will never be passed on to a third party for their own use.
- Progressive may disclose this information to third parties if it is required to do so by law.
- You can opt into or out of receiving promotions at any time by contacting Customer Service. You will still be sent your Onecard Rewards cash vouchers when you qualify.
- In the event of a dishonoured cheque, your personal information may be used to register the debt on the Personal Property Securities Register.
- You have the right to access and correct personal information, and can do this online at www.myonecard.co.nz or by calling 0800 40 40 40 during business hours. Your information will be held at 80 Favona Road, Mangere, Auckland.
- Please note: Your legal name must be used on all applications.
Countdown Meadowbank $5 Voucher Terms and Conditions
Offer valid for customers who sign up for Onecard emails on the site www.myonecard.co.nz/shopsmarter before midnight Sunday 1 August 2010. $5 vouchers will be emailed before Saturday 7 August 2010, vouchers expire 15 August 2010 and can only be used against spends of $100 or more at Countdown Meadowbank. Limit one per customer.
Terms and conditions of the $5 Countdown Meadowbank Voucher:
$5 voucher can be used only once when you spend $100 or more in-store at Countdown Meadowbank. This voucher is personal and non-transferable. It can be used only once to purchase goods and services to the value of the amount shown on the face of the voucher when used in conjunction with your Onecard or Foodtown card with spends of $100 or more. This voucher is not exchangeable for cash, and excludes tobacco, mobile phone products, stamps, ‘Your Pharmacy’ purchases, gift vouchers and Christmas vouchers. No change will be given. This voucher cannot be used to purchase fuel. This voucher is like cash and should be kept safe. In the event it is stolen, mislaid, lost, destroyed or damaged it cannot be reissued or replaced. This voucher expires 15 August 2010. Please ensure you redeem your voucher before this date as it will not be reissued once expired. Progressive Enterprises Limited takes no responsibility for damaged or lost vouchers. Any tampering or defacing of this voucher will render it invalid. This voucher is not redeemable at Woolworths Quickstop or Micro stores. Vouchers cannot be used against an online order at www.foodtown.co.nz or www.woolworths.co.nz.
Exclusions and Liability
Progressive Enterprises Limited are not responsible for late or misdirected entries and takes no responsibility for any entries not correctly lodged through the Onecard system.
Progressive Enterprises Limited and its related companies, employees and agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this promotion or claiming any prize, except as required by law.
Progressive Enterprises Limited are not responsible for the transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, either caused by user error or any equipment or programming malfunction associated with the promotion.
Use of Personal Information
All entries remain the property of Onecard and Progressive Enterprises Limited. All personal information will be collected and stored by Onecard (Progressive Enterprises Limited) in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to access your personal information and request correction of any errors in it pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993. Progressive Enterprises Limited may use entrants' personal information from entries to conduct the promotion and for its own future promotional and publicity purposes in accordance with standard Onecard terms and conditions.
